This August, the Springboard team came together to make a difference in our community through a month of charity, fundraising, and volunteering.
Throughout the month, we collected two full crates of food donations to take along to the Cambridge City Food Bank. Several of our colleagues also spent time helping the food bank move into their new premises on Nuffield Road, organising and loading vans full of basic food essentials for the community into vans ready for transport. It was eye-opening to see the scale of their operation behind the scenes and rewarding for the team to be part of that effort even for a short time.
Back at the office, our wood-fired pizza ovens once again took centre stage for a lunchtime fundraiser, bringing the team together to raise over £250 in just one afternoon.
By the end of the month, we had raised £296 for the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, a long-standing local partner we are proud to support. To make the impact even greater, we matched this donation with a contribution to Rewilding Britain, supporting environmental restoration and combating the loss of biodiversity.
